TRENTON N.J. – Assemblywoman BettyLou DeCroce’s bill (A4377) requiring a comprehensive directory of airports in New Jersey and creating a public use airports task force to study expansion was signed into law.
“New Jersey’s location is a major asset, and provides an opportunity for becoming a national leader in air travel,” said DeCroce (R-Morris). “This law will help seize that opportunity as a catalyst for future economic growth.”
The law requires the Department of Transportation and the Office of Information Technology to produce a print, electronic and mobile-friendly directory that will be updated every five years. In addition, a 21-member task force must issue a report within two years to assist in the advancement of public airports.
The bill passed both houses of the Legislature unanimously.
