BettyLou DeCroce’s Letter of Gratitude

Fairfax County Public Schools - Medical University of South Carolina Libraries

As we embrace the New Year with new beginnings, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the people of the 26th Legislative District for allowing me the opportunity to serve as your state representative for the past ten years. Serving as a member of the New Jersey General Assembly, a seat once held by my late-husband Alex DeCroce, has been the honor of my life.

My goal as a public servant has always been quite simple: to make New Jersey a better place to live, work and retire by fighting for a safer, more secure and prosperous state. I am proud of my record in supporting our businesses, being a champion for sustainable technology, stabilizing our taxes to make our state more affordable and working to keep our education system one of the finest in the nation. No matter the circumstance, I have always let my conscience be my greatest guide.

I have spent my entire career in public service with two primary convictions -celebrating the sanctity and security of the electoral process, and appreciating the gravity of my responsibility, as a member of the Legislature, to be duty-bound to represent all constituents regardless of political affiliation

.
While my time in the Legislature officially comes to an end on January 9, 2022, please know I will remain active and engaged in the District 26 community as an advocate for our citizens. I will always cherish my time as a representative of the 26th Legislative District and promise to continue exploring ways upon which I can best serve the people of New Jersey.

May God bless you and your family in 2022.

Best wishes,
BettyLou DeCroce
